Wheels for my AF

Post by eyesky2002 »

Ok guys in need of some help and guidance...

Shopping for wheels for the AF; I want black rings with black hubs, but will settle for black rings with silver hubs if need be.

Here is what I found:

Black Excel Takasago rims, heavy duty spokes and black RAD Econo billet hubs, all laced and trued for $875.00. Add wave rotors and bolts brings it up $1025.00

Warp 9 set up, black rings with silver OEM style hubs comes with disks and a sproket for $750.00

How are the Warp 9's holding up? Are the Excels worth the extra cost?

Jut trying to get the best bang for my buck, but maybe save a couple in the process.

PM Steiner or Hellbear.... They got the "Banned" deal on these wheels.

Warp 9's look like they came off one of those Chinese bikes you see @ Pep Boys.....

I heard that DNA was crap from China and Warp 9's were made in Utah. I just don't want to get stuck with crap.

Here is a complete set of DNA's rubber to bearing starting at $895.00. Seems like a good deal, but will they be all loose in a day or egg out on me the first big air?

i guess building this AF from scratch has left you with all sorts of pieces you have to get...i got a roller for cheap and the rims are good enough for me to just powdercoat and get away with it...i'm going black rims and gold hubs...pretty sure anyways...i'll save tonnnnnnns on rims...is that not an option? stock rims powdercoated? guaranteed ebay has mad for cheap...

Decided to go with DNA, seem to be a lot of them sold online and very little complaints. Thanks for the input guys and the offer : bling :, but this was something I was moving on today. Want this bike done!!!

Ordered a nice set black with gold hubs and some rotors at a kick ass price.

Those are supermoto wheels, I don't think that's what he was looking for. I am though, but for the xr650r, which are much harder to find used from my experience. :o

 I know, you can never get your stuff quick enough! Not to worry. If he has them in stock(which he probably does) he'll have them on the truck pronto. Also, he gets and gives great deals on the motard wheels as well. You guys looking for those might give him a shout.
