Sounds stupid but it probably would get rid of the piston slap if it stayed together.
People trip on how bad these motors sound close up.

I forget where I posted about "Fixing" cracked pistons by drilling a "Crack Stop" hole in them...
Had a ebay auction and everything..
I got hit up by so many people, asking if this was fo' real....
made my head spin....
