...my hunch is ignorance and prejudice.

While we are on the subject of handicaps - or not - did anyone see that Honda has ads with Ashley Foiek who is deaf (and won her first WMA race at Hangtown) and Cadillac is using a one-legged runner in theirs. Refreshing.
