I take new riders out to ride (my kids, etc) and warn them never to blast a puddle unless you just watched someone else do it and can see how deep it really is. Everyone forgets at least once and loses their bike underwater. My oldest has done it twice. He knows better now. Even Landshark did it recently.

I did that once by hoofarteds house after a rain, I didn't know it was like 5 feet deep, but somehow I made it through. The next day there was a brand new 4x4 ranger stuck in it and water logged
