I've had HDTV for 4 years.... I'm not new to the game... My HD CRT set up crapped out last week, and I was heartbroken over it .... NOT ANYMORE!!

This Panasonic ( $1499 @ Best Buy) blows away sets costing more than 2x the price.

I wont go on and ramble about it, just take my word..... this is the CR500 of HDTV.

Deep blacks are whats hard to do with any TV...

I'm sure it's great, but to small for me. I just bought a 52 inch lcd, it's a Samsung, between it and the two others that are comparable, it was the best imo. The 52 inch Panasonic plasma was WAY more money, although it was better.
