Thats gonna be quite hard to keep an eye on during riding
I personally go by the ping......boilover technique of telling the motor temp.

I bought some of thsoe and left them in the envelope on the kitchen counter and my mother inlaw threw it out

I have some of the rear bottom edge of my left-hand rad. I only really use them to see that the engine's warmed up from cold, and then keeps warm if you sit for a long time waiting for a race to start.
