Yellow fever

Post by ou812 »

So I have got so tired of pulling the rides with the car trailor combo, I went out the other day and picked up this Edge 4 door, all optioned, with 3.0 and 5 speed stick. Seemed to be a good choice based on price, reasonable power and fual economy. Now I must control my urge to add goodies. Being me and a buddy will be heading down to maybe , Vegas, then Montaray area some time in the future with the 500's and may hit the MoToGP this will do better then my gay trailor.

They call the color "Chrome Yellow" The 3.0 get pretty good milage from what i've been told with a few mods like the aluminum underdrive pulley set, a few mass air sensors mods and a good cat and muffler.

I had an '04 with the 4.0 and 5 speed auto in black and it kicked ass! I towed a bunch with it and hauled crap everywhere! I beat that truck like you wouldn't believe and it loved it! :D I used to jump it like a prerunner and got it stuck in the mud a number of times! :D
I put BFG all terrain t/a ko's on it, 31x10.5 for a few hundred bucks and that made a huge difference, then I cranked up the torshion bars just enough to level it and I was done! Very nice truck!

those stock goodyear tires suck and belong on a sedan. I popped one with only 17,000 on the odo after hitting a pothole in the most ghetto area of san berdoo you've ever been in and it was late at night. I don't think i've ever changed a tire so fast in my life

ya, I knew a chick with one, it was nice, but I liked mine better. Mine was almost the work truck version, it had the rubber floor, plastic door panels with crank windows, but had the 6 disc changer. it also didn't have the flip out rear doors, which I liked because those things make so much noise when your off road. the tremor was nice, but add a sub to yours and your good.

i like the ford ranger. my old lady had one just like the yellow truck but it was red. the only thing that had me worried was the electric 4x4. im from the old school i guess- i like the ancient fords with a lever so you know 100% its locked in 4x4. cool yellow truck though
