After calling around last night I did get some decent excuses for not riding...

Iggy's preparing his tax return for '07, MFDB is having some silicone testicles implanted, danny graves is having his yeast infection taken care of, bob is hanging out with hellbear, 100hp honda is restocking his porn collection, J lewis is in church, hagendog is stuck in line at the social security office and stoffers is fixing his ford (again  )

Anyone not have any plans for the weekend?

To get a drag link end off of a pitman arm, you don't use a puller, you use a pickle fork. And forget a puller for the pitman arm, just use a 5 lb sledge and it will come off in 5 whacks. http://www.expertvillage.com/videos/car ... tierod.htm

So why not just do El MO new Years?

My coworker is backing out, now I'm tetering on not going, (to much work on both Accords) you and Bob would push that to a positive Go.

pickle fork and big hammer was my original plan. but the clown at checker talked me into this new kit for taking apart front ends. its made for newer vehicles that use cheeese dick little components. my truck is dana 60 front/dana 70 rear, them pullers were not even close to fiting onto the pitman arm. so i took it back and tomorow its full bore on the pickle fork and big hammer :headbang:. and i gots a big hammer, and ill get a fuggin torch if i need to. this son of a beach is coming apart whether it wants to or not  :headbang:[/

i was going about it all wrong. i took that stupid puller back to checker. bought a $10 pickle fork. 4 small whacks and the drag link came right off. pulled the steering box and 5 more whacks and the pitman arm fell off. easy as pie. i put the new seal in the front and put it all back on the truck. today ill start it and make sure its good to go. the old seal had FORD enscribed on it, aparently it was the original from 1978
