I'd love to help, but I'm like most Hoon's here, and very short on time.

If you can find a good welder on your island, thats 80% of the battle.

The actual fab work takes a minimum of tools and skill.

The guy that did my conversion was able to use the original coil mounting spot that came on the frame. I don't know if it's the cleanest way to do the headstay but I like it......

I thought I had some better pics of it but I can't find them.

well im on my way to my conversion. convinced someone to do my frame. and got my motor the other day. with airbox and all. was looking at the airbox and boy do i have an idea. i removed the retainer, filter and boot from the 500 airbox. removed the retainer, filter, and boot from my 450x airbox. obviously the boot holes (airbox side) are completely different. im gonna cut out 1/4 inch plastic and fill in the hole on the 450 airbox using a plastic bond and cut a new hole to replicate the hole on the 500 airbox. i will post pics as soon as i find black 1/4 inch plastic and the plastic bonding agent. it's called mat 7. this is gonna be factory as it gets.

no im actually filling the 450 hole with the same thickness plastic and bonding it. so now there is no hole in the front. then tracing the 500 boot on and cutting the hole out. so basicly it will look like it came from honda like that.

hey man, if it seals, its ok by my book  we'll poke fun all day long at each others work, but the cleanest build in the world doesn't mean shit if it doesn't get ridden. the sooner it sees dirt the better :D

hey man, its all the same, a bike getting ridden is a happy one!
BTW I tried that golf coarse thing once on a early '70 sl125 (I think it was an sl). I got away, but it sucked giving it back to my freind missing all the parts I lost, the main of which was the kicker of all things!

do you guys use the engine mount bolts from the 5hundy motor or the donor frame? also will a 450r airbox fit in the 450x subframe? or about the 2000 cr250 boot does it bolt right up? does anyone have a pic of it installed? thanks
