grandma in hospital.....need some prayers.

. Need some prayers guys.....my grandma is 85 yrs old, works part time to give flu shots, works the voting poles, and works at H&R block every tax season. On top of that she drives her self everywhere, belongs to a group exercise class, and goes to church regularly.

Both our ( my brother and I ) parents out dead, so Grandma is all we have left. My brother lives with my Grandma....so Thursday night he goes home and finds her having bad chest pains on her bed....not knowing how long she had been like this. He calls 911, which she tells him not to because shes tough, but eventually they come to get her and take her to emergency. I get to the hospital and she is having bad chest pains and and cant hardlt breathe. They treat her for heart attack synptoms and start running tests, and everything is coming back good and strong. They decide to do a scan of her body and discover that she has a bad heart valve that is leaking, an anurism aproximatley 6 inches long right next to heart, and a clogged aorta.

No doctor in El Paso would do the surgery because it was too risky, and there was talk about flying her to Houston imediatly for surgery, but she wouldnt survive the trip. The head nurse told my brother to call her regular family doctor and beg him to maybe pull some strings and get her a surgeon. Some how the guy found one of his buddies who offered to do the surgery.........and FUCK YOU to all the others who refused to step up..............

The surgery took over 6 hrs, but they cut off the 6 inch anurism, did a bypass, unclogged the aorta and put a stint in another vein to keep it from collapsing. They had to freeze her during the surgery to slow her body down a bit. After the surgery there was a chance she could bleed out because the blood was so thin fram all the heart attack medicine the gave her when she first went into emergency. It took all night to get the bleeding under control, but now they are going to leave her sedated and the next few days is going to be touch and go....and she could crash at any moment.

My Grandma is a tough old girl, but she's 85, and it was a very tough surgery for someone that old to go through, so now its up to her and God, so please say some prayers for her. She needs all the help she can get.

Im divorced and my bother never married, so
besides my son, she is the only family my brother and I have left.

My Grandma lived to be 103 she almost made it to 104 but she passed about a month before, she too was one tough lady.
