I also got an 86 YZ490 thats in transit via the USA as we speak.

Fkc ..... there strict as hell on period correctness in the vintage race scene.
I tryd joining that KX500 site but they wont let you use a name with the #500 in it so fkc it, im asteroid500 on every forum im connected with, but the KX crew wont allow it so my product knowledge is not up to speck .... looks like im off to bike pics.com

Are you talking about the KXRiders.com site? Talk to Danger4U because my name on that site is USMC 500..... Or is there another KX site that you are speaking of?

I like my user name, sounds anal but if your into 500's & your not aloud to use it in your name, well its all to lame if you ask me.... call me anal, but no an arsehole!

Venhill cables on there way from the UK as we speak for both the KX & the CR, well only 1 for the CR but there doing me a rear cable as well, both getting the venhill featherlite clutch treatment as well.
