Hello,
I've been trying to get on here for a little while now , anyhow I just picked my 500's new chassis today . It's a brand new 2006 crf250x ready to die for the cause ,life is grand . I got my first 500 in 94 it was a great bike I rode it for 7-8 years and got rid of it because I had no time or place to ride . the one I picked up last month is a 1991 it is a bit ragged out but all I wanted was to motor . I've always wanted a af 500 now I'm going have one . thanks for all the help already .

Your bike is going to be a " brother from another mother" to mine!
SWEET!!!
THe"X" model has these features over the "R" model..
Major changes from the 2004 CRF250R Model:
• Larger fuel tank for greater range (2.2 gallons including 0.4 gallon reserve)
• Sealed battery (centered above the airbox)
• New frame tuned specifically for off-road work, not motocross tracks
• More compliant and supple suspension components front and rear, for a plush ride over rocks, roots and whoops
• Revised linkage ratios for the Pro-Link rear suspension system
• An improved, wide, soft "Saddle" type seat for long rides
• A new lightweight slim-line headlight, plus a very small and very light-weight LED taillight
• Sidestand added
Let me know how I can help out. I'm sure you have seen my thread, if you have any questions , ASK!!!

the sad true of it all is I fell in love with the kickstand and the headlight on my 2007 dualsported wr450 . So I firgured I ride mostly in the woods so x it is . and the kickstand makes it a cakewalk to load a bike and get it strapped down . Yes I have many Questions about your x. I'll post them On your thread as I run into them
