Hi everyone.
Hi everyone.
Glad I found the site......found the other one first and the initial welcome I received was not to my liking. I rode for 20 years and after life got in the way of riding for the last 15 years, I am ready to get back on a 500. I owned an 85' up until 92-93' and spent a lot of time riding the dunes at the Little Sahara state park in Waynoka, OK. Enough history, but I hope to find a Gen3 and do a conversion myself and from the board, I have learned quite a few things about this. Thanks for making the site and I look forward to learning more.

Oh.. I'm sorry.... did you say you dont own a CR500 this exact instant?Exnav wrote: I am ready to get back on a 500. .
I'm afraid I'm going to have to put your membership on hold, until you provide solid, ill reputable , un-denouncable proof that you do...
Welcome, and I suggest dong a Gen 4.....
I just turned 40 and some of the best times of my youth were spent in the saddle of my 85'. Some guys buy new Corvettes at 40+, but I can't think of anything else that I would rather have than a "new" 500.
After reading the Gen4 post, I would have to at least consider it, even though I do not have any welding skills anymore and have never touched a TIG. I can run a mean spreadsheet and type multiple emails! **sighs**
