The Clark gen 3 needs the heat gun in at least two places. In addition to that also did the sides where the head is and where the head stay is. Probably didn't have to for the stay but had my reason.

Interesting - I didn't have to do any for my Gen2. Although I am running an IMS tank. Gen2/3 are typically the same - or so I thought. Thanks Iggy.iggys-amsoil wrote:The Clark gen 3 needs the heat gun in at least two places. In addition to that also did the sides where the head is and where the head stay is. The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

Ims tank on gen3 has much more spark plug clearance than the clarke. I had the options of both and I liked the ims better on my converted bike.
The clarke tank on my gen3 250 sat on top on the spark plug. I had to heat the tank and shim the front mount to allow use of a standard plug that would be able to be changed trailside. And that was on a 250!
