Quiet exhausts

Post by Gmbond »

I know the 500s have a unique (and awesome) bark to them, and as much as it's music to my ears I am looking to make mine quieter or as quiet as possible without being cumbersome. Its going on a 03 cr250 a/f conversion, so if it'll bolt right that's cool but rewelding and reworking doesn't bug me either.

So fmf Q
Pro circuit 296
Dep long silencer?

Sparky would be nice but not totally needed

Thanks!

They are all about the same. The quietest one I found, they don't make anymore. It was an Answer SA Pro 2.

If you are SERIOUS about quiet: http://thedbsnorkel.com/
Goofy lookin, but effective.

Too bad that won't work on the 4strokes...should be mandatory! I find it ironic how the 4T makes so much more heat than the 2T...and they're concerned about fire hazards of a 2T. Lame. :x
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...
