porting tools

Post by 100hp honda »

seems like some good deals on ebay once in a while. 1/3 the price of new. i know the new foredom motors run quit as a mouse, im sure the older ones are similar. something to think about before you dump $800+ on the next port job

its make offer on this one which means they probly just want it gone. motor and foot control

Looks like a handy tool to have. When I am at my friends place who has a set up like that he uses it for all kinds of odds and ends.

I have bought cutters for him from here:

cc specialty motors, foot control and straight handpiece are foredom brand. theyre basically just a distributor so to speak. they do make their own right angle hand piece though, which appears to be a nice unit. at one time they were selling the artco which is made in germany but its expensive so they decided to make their own which is based off the artco design and i believe it uses the exact internal bearings and gears as artco. only difference is cc is $340 because its made in house and artco is imported from germany so theres alot of extra cost involved, its $460. if i had to do it over i probly would of went with cc handpiece simply because cheaper price. not sure why cc only offers the TX motor. SR series is a better choice imo. has plenty of power and runs in reverse also, TX cant run in reverse and it has alot of extra power that just isnt necesarry for cylinder porting. believe me reverse is a damn nice feature.
