Thanks! There is still some ghetto stuff I need to take care of that's not so easy to see, especially with the exhaust.
Next time I have it apart I will take some picks of the intake extension and the head stay.
The head stay was done super simple-- I got a solid round and bent it on a press forming a 45degree angle. I cut up some flat pieces and drilled them out to fit the bolt holes and then cut the dog leg to fit between the flat parts.
Then I took the original 500 engine head mounts and cut off the top and back so the dog leg sits in there perfect, and then the welder put everything together.
It was very easy and looks pretty good.

Here is something I posted in another thread

I am doing an 04 myself-- my motor is tilted pretty far forward and I have an 85 so it is 5mm lower.
There was no way to get any boot to fit
I cut out a 01 cr250 assembly and pulled it through the 450 airbox which needed some trimming to. You really can't see any riggage from the outside.
I am using a piece of 2" pvc to pull it together with a piece of rubber coupling to seal everything up. The only part that is going to look strange is that there will be 3 clamps on it instead of two. I am going to use the heat gun and a mandrel to put a bit of a flare on the pipe where it mates the boot.

I like how the boot fits around the shock with what I am doing now.

I will ride it around with the 250 part just 'floating' in the airbox, if it works right I will clean it all up and bolt it together.

The PVC was very easy to mold, I used a corona bottle to flare the pvc.
I wanted the flare to make sure that it didn't come apart and destroy the engine. 2" pvc and the 2" rubber coupling matched the dia. of the carb and boot almost exactly.

Try Teem Trouble for the frame cradles.Did see a while back they are bending the 6061 ally to the correct radius.Means cutting out back near the pegs but better than having a butt weld in the front of the cradle and you have the correct grade of ally.May have to specify which gen frame you have as the angle of bend is slightly different on some models as there is a second bend in front of footpegs on some.

Easy to do with a gen 4 but near impossible for a gen 3.

Dude you said not real blingy, wrong answer.
The only thing not real blingy on the bike in 7-4-08 was the exhaust with the dents in it, no real biggy though.
That thing looks FRIGGIN AWESOME, must be color blind I thought the plastic was white.
I really like the look of those gen3 450 conversions, they look SWEET.
:bling:  :bling:  :bling:
:applaud: congrats on the build :applaud: :headbang:

That's a clarke 3.3

I had the dents popped out, but have re-dented the exhaust so it looks the same now.
