Check out this wheel lace job... RETARDS!

Post by ZETTNORCAL »

So I bought some wheels on ebay from MOTOTEKS for my KX500SFC.
I was supposed to get them in 2 weeks because it was going to take some time for them to powdercoat the spokes. Well a month later and many threats and a case against them with EBAY I got the wheels. I took one look at them and noticed that the hub was offset to the sproket side and that the spokes were ground off because they were sticking up out of the nipples. FREAK'N IDIOTS WTF should I send them back or should I just recenter the hubs myself AAHHHHH!

do you a manuel for the bike, there should be info on lacing wheels that shows the correct offset. i did mine and my honda manuel gave the offset. check to see if the offset is right,if not send them back. the whole point of buying new stuff is so you don't have to mess with it.

there's some real dumb asses on ebay ,if your not satisfied i'd send them back. you will regret it down the road if you have more problems with the wheels.

Fixed them myself! The hub was off by 7/8th's" Got tires mounted and they are on the bike. The way they had them the tire would be hitting the swingarm. Some of the spokes might be a little short now but I think it will be fine. I didn't want to send them back and wait another month!
