i gotta admit to beeing a chopper to some degree, my clutch hand locks up about 1/2 way thru the pull, so i sometimes endup with a dump instead of easing back into it, i catch myself chopping the throttle in anticipation of this, watching myself ride from my gopro vids is almost better than any trainer telling me what to do

I hold my climber wide open and feather the clutch if I run into any tricky obsticles. The only hillclimbers I notice that chop the throttle is the ones riding the big bikes at the amatuer level AMA, only the top 5 in the class stay consistant and about 2 of them screw it all the way on. But those bikes a beasts and deserve respectglen howell wrote:100 good hillclimbers don't hardly ever chop the throttle, But there on the clutch more so than a MXer.
