Last time I did mine, it would have been handy. The plastic piece just below that swells over time. As such, the diameter of it creates pressure on the inside of the spring and it gets stubborn to pull out of the spring.M.F.D.B. wrote:WTF is the point of the mechanics wire step?

No, it's just to pull it out.
