If no one gets it in a couple of days, I'll drop other hints. Nice scrub huh?

Very sad. Killed a few miles into the Baja 1000. It's talked about in "Dust to Glory". Kawasaki pulled out and only returned to the race this year.Tharrell wrote:No, he is deceased though. Team Green obviously. And he is on Destry web forum site.

Yeah, I imagine the way the guy rode, he was standing up with the throttle pinned when the guy pulled out.
Kawasaki dominated the desert until that.
He was one of a very few who could unquestionably use every bit of power a 500 had.
There are athletes in life that I just love to watch because of the poetry in motion that they are.
He was one of them.

Jim Pomeroy - and not just because his name is in the filename of the jpeg file! I assume this is "Last Flag" because it was his last vintage race before his accident. He was a regular at vintage races here in SoCal and further afield. Awesome guy who is sorely missed.Tharrell wrote:Here's another one, name him.
This photo is called "Last Flag"
