The motor is in for mock up. Fitting the 'Y', pipe clearance check, and pipe mounts (front and middle/rear for silencer).

Assembled and ready to get welded. SOLID Bro!! doing his thing, fixing all of our imperfections...

All back together with a couple of subframe gussets to strengthen the weak OEM setup. Pipe mount in location. All clean and ready for reassembly.

The finished look of SOLID Bro!!'s 90's on the head. As good as it gets.

Skipping all of the normal BS, here's the motor in with our idea for keeping the gas line away from the radiators and plug as we've seen before. New, reversed tank outlet machined by hand. Our CRF250R took 3/4's of an inch to align the stock 500 airboot.

Our goal was to get this bike completed in three weeks so that it could be ridden at the Soboba Trail Ride. This photo was taken before the ride.

Here's a couple of shots after the 60+ miles of mud, rock, and Soboba single track. The Shock Therapy Suspension made the ride as smooth as possible. No issues whatsoever and it was the best bike I have ridden there to date. It's ready for new plastics/graphics once we modify a stock tank to make it moto ready. Thanks bannedcr500 riders for all the help. Special thanks to Alisobob and SOLID Bro!! for making our build so much easier.

So now I know it's Bob C. and how fast you ride, how does it compare to the steely? Would you do another one? Do you like it? Would you race it? I've been watching builds for awhile and thinking of doing a A/F.

Hey me too.

Yes, I am looking at another 500 to pick up. Depends on the track, but I definately would think about racing it at GH, Cahuilla or maybe Pala. For my size, at the 24 it would be great. Just need to be careful with the power. It makes 450's seem slow. Not sure who this is. Bob

It's Jim W( slow guy on the 24hr team). ,I've been looking at doing a A/F for awhile. Vin told me you were doing one. I just happened to see your post's. I need to step up and start one. I've been looking at ktm 300's also, but love the looks of the 500's.
