im looking to buy some ODI lock on grips but it says that that they only fit 93+....

were the throttle houseing diffrent or what?

Im not sure about the fitment years, but I would warn you about the ODI's. If you drop the bike and break the flimsy plastic bar ends, you will have to buy a new set...

I would check the Micro Fische and see if the throttle tubes have different part numbers. Thats what we do daily to verify fitment. Distributors have a bad habit of listing fitment years that only represent how far they felt like researching the fitment, not necessarily a complete list...
