M.F.D.B. wrote:Not only rider but setup. You cant port and polish and then raise the compression and put a gnarly pipe on it then advance the ignition if you are building a "top end" motor. A setup is a chain that is the some of its whole. Any one flaw or hole in your setup ruins all the other parts.

Building a torque monster is fine for racing in the sand but you have to back it by a proper setup. The only thing that matters is how much power you put to the GROUND.

Dont forget N20 makes huge TORQUE not nescesarily huge HP.

Anyone know what a "closed throttle nitrous failure" is?? :yikes:
exactly why I got that 41mm carb and plan on getting a pc pipe.

I notice you have a AMS Sand Snake rear tire. I started with one of these and my bike just buzzed it launching for racing. It also dug a trench I noticed when riding, this is with 7lbs air in it. I know everyone loves the Skat Trak's but talking to Glen at GSS, he told me to get a 5.6x18 10 paddle cheng chen (did I spell that right) He said for the money you could wear out two for the price of a Skat Trak, it's a nice wide tire for floatation and is actually lighter than the AMS tire. The 5.60 floats better on top and hooks up better. You have to pull you wheel all the way back in your swingarm, I'm running 14x48 gearing and have proper chain slack. I would think with your setup now, 15x40 something would be in order.

Just a thought

I would not recommend hitting the N2O in neutral. Not a good way to win a race either...HAHA :lmao:

I would also not recommend the Cheng Shin, the big "floaty" tires do just that, they FLOAT and that makes the back end wag like a dogs tail. I have not personally run one, but every person I know that has, has warned me against running it. That tire is so huge I doubt you could fit one even if you pulled the wheel all the way back. Almost a must to have an extended swing arm.
