Opinions Needed

Post by Travis »

Ok guys. I have a guy wanting to trade me his banshee to my 400 ex. They are both 2001's and both have a few odds and ends that need fixed. Should I keep the 4 poke or swap with him for the yamaha?????

My bike leaks a little oil from the tank now, carb needs cleaned out as it runs out the overflow now because the floats aren't closing it off, needs a battery and a headlight switch and a seat cover.

His bike needs a rear shock, headlights and switch bought and wired back in, front fenders and probably some tires.

What do you guys think about it????

It has a cool head and toomey pipes. Other than that the guy didn't know anything else about it. He bought it wanting to trail ride and it scared him. The thing is unreal fast too. I would say faster than my cr but has nowhere near the bottom end my cr has. Do you think that is the pipes or just the gears?

Well he may be trying to back out on me now. He asked what I wanted for my bike without trading. So I priced it for what he is asking for his. If he buys it I will either buy his or my buddy has a raptor that I may just pickup. Reverse is a big plus...

I have had both and I really like both. The banshee was a little more fun I would say but the raptor was a little more trail and passenger riding friendly.

a CR500 wont compare to a banshee. stock for stock, sure the 500 will have more balls, but the 500 doesnt have the potential that twin pinger does.

Well I told the guy I would give him $20 to pick up a battery or he could just buy the thing outright. Now we wait again I suppose.

The worst thing is the banshee is like a missile. Here in Kentucky there aren't many places that you can really open it up at unless you are riding in the road, or in someones pasture field and with no fenders I don't think it will spend a lot of time opened up in the pasture. lol :shtf: < Shit on the face is not where I want to be. lol

The cr5 is easier to ride than that thing. I can poke around and lug the cr5 without it even bothering it. I feel like I need to push this banshee when it bogs a little.lol

Evidently $20 bucks won't buy a battery for this thing. I hate electric start more everytime I think about it and love it when I am trying to kick one over. lol

Well I know have the banshee. It sounds awesome. If I can I will get a video or maybe some pics for you guys,

Anyone have headlights or a switch for headlights to one of these laying around? Or a rear shock? Maybe stock front fenders...

Haven't got to take any pics yet. My buddy got a new ride and it is sitting in the way in my garage, He can't take it home because his landlord will evict him. They say it is too loud lol.
