New 500 rider
Im near the illinois, wisconsin border. I have never owned a cr 500 and only rode 1 once, diffenitly want to ride 1 more. Im currently building a gen4 cr500afc to race my local tracks with. Im a fitup welder with some fab skills and assembler, so far the bigest challenge to this build is not having the equipment or lack of a shop with the equipment to form my engine cradels. everything is fairly straight foward with the exception of the airbox,lots of ways to get to the end result here. did i mention also a member on the clean version of this site ! Im glad a stumbled upon these great sites back in august, i was bitten with the cr500afc bug the first time i seen a build in progress. Hope to build mine to meet the expectations of both these sites, im sure it will if it meets mine.
