That machine looks sooooooooo goooooooooood. I'm in love. I just went to Millers site, the first time in a few years. Imagine what could be done with the 700

Bob,

Is that multi joint from a real fabrication, or is it a test / training piece? If it's from a real job, I'd love to see what it was.

With his record, that 700 Dynasty may well have actually been a little Transtig 180. ............ I swore I'd not get into that tale / trail of let downs

Got my frame in today and it looks fucking sweet. Hardly a scratch on it and I paid $150.00 + shipping for it. :woot: My friends wife works at the DMV so I'm going to see what I can do about getting a title. I don't really need one but it would be nice (especially since taxes would be based on the $150.00 purchase price).

I'll start a thread soon Bob, once I get a bit further along.

BTW, what size holes for the plug welds on the extensions/cradle? Also, are you looking to get the cradle to extension joint butted tight together or a little gap so the weld gets to the 3/4" insert aswell? I'm a carpenter so I ask stupid questions like this.

Thanks man and Merry Christmas!

I leave a gap so the dowel and cradle peices are all welded together. I drilled something like 1/4" holes, just enough to use a screw driver to push the dowels up into place.

I had always wondered how you guys got it all together with the 3/4" stock in there. Makes sense now.

Great work on those and thanks for the pics. They went straight to my "Misc Build Pics" file.
