Hey Guys,
Old guy from Florida, love to Go fast and Turn Left. We presently race flat track here in Florida and have always raced 4-stroke. We have tweaked the 450's but wanted something less weight more HP. I know its been done before and they are a bear to ride, but what the heck!
Bought a '85 CR500 a few weeks ago to build a flat track bike. We already have a Champion frame, Jemco down pipe, all I really needed was the motor. We presently have the motor completely disassembled, replacing all bearings, gaskets, piston, rings, clutch cover and anything else that is worn. If we can get it back together, dialed in at a couple of local races, we are looking to race at Daytona March 3-4.
I have been following the post on here for the past couple of weeks and this is a great site.
