If 1987 and later rotors fit your 1984 you may be in luck. Their flywheel weights take about 15 mins to install / de-install. I have a 13 oz one and it works well.

Are the early flywheels the same diameter as what an 87 has???
My engine came w/a FWW.
I left it off, and I don't plan to ever use the stupid thing. Though it's a cool paper weight.
If I remember correctly, I think it screws on and has retaining screws.
It's yours, if it'll fit.
Let me know.
