'03 crf450 / cr500 conversion for sale OFF THE MARKET

Post by MTNielson »

Chassis is a 2003 CRF450 with a 1995 CR500 engine.
Welding was done by a certified Aerospace welder. Very clean.
I've been riding this bike for about 3 years now with no problems.

Engine has mild porting, FMF pipe, Turbine Core Spark arrestor, Vforce reeds, PWK 39.5 mm carb, Runs very strong.
Clark desert tank.
Magura hydraulic clutch.

This picture is from last year, I just put new shrouds and graphics, I'll get new pictures soon.

$3,600

Trades: I'm only interested in a trade for an '05 or newer CRF450R or CRF450X

chub100@yahoo.com

or PM for more info.

Sorry no, I think it was mistaken as firewood and burnt that night.

After responding to several inquiries and getting the build pictures out, I remembered what went into this bike.

Other than an electric start and less vibes, I don't think the 450x is going to be the fix all. Especially when you look at the maintenance or even worse the repair cost of the 450.

I like 4 strokes, I have a big bore crf250 (291 Athena 280 with hot rods stroker). It's a fun little bike, but nothing compares to the 500 at Glamis.

for now, I am staying true to the 500.

Call Stiles... ( RedRocket190)

He rode a nice 450, and his CR500A/F in back to back rides at the Elsinore GP.

Was the 450 easier to ride.... yup.

Was the 500 a kick in the pants, with a ear to ear grin...... yup.

I spoke to him HOURS after the race.... he was still all pumped up about the 500 ride.

Gotta' love it!!!!

:headbang:

Next time the motors apart, call these guys.... I have heard nothingh but good reports....

I got a STR crank. My next one will be falicon.....

He used to get $350 for a crank, now that he likes us 500 dudes so much he's upped the price to $450 just for 500 cranks. Falicon is round $275, pretty sure apples to apples comparison.

I do like my crank job, kept me on a 500, I'd be on something else before I'd continue putting up with the vibes of a stock crank.
