I'm rebuilding my 1992...all black, i'm going to podwercoat the frame like you
did,need a black tank and a black air box+black rims
Where did yo get the stuff?
P.s:I have a new white air-box with the plastic cover Honda OEM never
used,somebody could do me the favour
to send me a black air-box,new or used i don't care and i'll send my brand
new air -box i'll take care of shipping cost,pleaseee
this CR 500 puppy needs attention...sorry for the

they mostly do vintage plastics. like they still sell body work for '70s and '80s bikes and now a lot of early '90s bikes. about the only place to buy stuff for like an '85-'88

me too, got them for my old '87 cr125. looped the bike going up a crazy hill and the rear fender bent in half. when I pushed it back down there was a bag lineand it was ver weak.

Really nice job with the restoration. you are right it will never be that clean again unless you do another restoration.
The best way to stop things rubbing on the plastics is to remove all non-essential plastics from the bike and store in cotton wool until you are ready to sell your bike.
