i know i know, its only available from service honda and that, but who here knows the actual part# for the rod?

Was there an alternate to # 13200-KA5-690?

(same length)

can you also just order the longer rod kit or you have to get the hole crank set up

ok i hate so sound like a Ahole but thats a stupid question. did you fall off the turnip truck yesterday ? how many years you been floating around these forums telling people you can do a port job....but you ask if you can just buy a rod. thats rediculus :? . type 'CR500 connecting rod' in the yahoo search and 4000 pages of results pop up. ive senn smarter 10year old kids :D

for the '84, the shop manual says "replace crankshaft" when the big end bearing is beyond service limits.

Throw the whole assembly away just because the rod is worn out? BALONEY.

Buy the short rod kit and have a good engine shop install it on your existing crank.

I dont recall if the rod came with the two brass washers that go on both sides, or if those had to be ordered separately.

Seperate #s on the washers, they're ordered aswell.

arrived today, in packaging branded with the newer style decal, maybee they've made another batch, seems to be more in inventory

they probly made another batch. i heard ktm ran out of pistons so they made another batch.
