when I went to put the pipe on last night I decided to redo a few things better. one was the airboot/carb connection. mine has a rad valve and the airboot pushing on the shock makes the boot want to pull off of the carb. I stared at this for a while and thought the rubber manifold between the carb and reed block intake needs to be angled, not straight. a few months ago I took the Jikov carb off my CZ 400 and put on a 38 mikuni. The rubber boot I took off the CZ was perfect (bad pics sorry)

in the process of removing the stock CR 500 manifold I realized I had overlooked that it was rotted out (need better glasses I guess) good thing I decided to make this change or I would have been sucking in sand.

thanks, I put CF guards on all my bikes but the one for the std 500 pipe doesn't fit these SH pipes. My friend with the SH LE has one and it fits like crap, actually looks worse than this believe it or not. all my riding is tight woods and I go for every log and wall of brush I can find so I have to do something or I'll have this sweet pipe looking like a pancake by the end of the day tomorow...

You should be ashamed of yourself riding around on a bike like that.
If you give it to me now you could save yourself any future embarrassment and ridicule.
yota great job man.
That worked out absolutely amazing, SWEET X 5!

That is one fine ass ride, yota. Way back in the 80's, I had a gray seat cover custom-made by Ceet to match some graphics I put together (just a bunch of stickers back then). A seat cover with black on top and dark gray on the sides would be a sweet compliment to your graphics. Otherwise, a black SDG would look good, too. I've used standard, tall and step versions from SDG and never had an issue. Sweet bike.

well a little dirt. rained like hell, this is our parking area, was completely dry 30 minutes earlier. Thats Dredge"s 500 in the background. he's a mod on the other site. we swapped bikes for a brief ride in the pouring rain.

btw, bike runs great, freaking power is just stupid. frame works great, handling is good but still sorting suspension and set up. was worth the wait indeed.

Knew that dude, but was just asking if it was a 20" front because it was similar looking to the pic Bob posted that I had seen before from Mike.

Sad that it has come to this..

Nice looking bike Yota.

VERY nice job Yota!!!!!!!!!! She is sexy!  I like the colors on your graphics. Very clean indeed.

Did you, by chance, pop the for caps off and make sure the tire doesn't hit the pipe?
My PC is a TTM special from PC. However, I had to move a spring tab myself, or let the tire move it.

thanks. i didn't check to see if the forks hit, I assumed that pipe was made for that. The label on my pipe said "Pro Circuit CR500AF, Service Honda".

got the old PJ dialed in this weekend, ended up with:

172 main
55 pilot (think a 52 would work better for my idle)
1368D needle with clip in 2nd leanest position
stock slide (6.5)

just above sea level, 96 degrees, 96% humidity

cylinder has been ported so this may not work for a stock one.
