i agree because danny would have turned first to go change his jets, the brit would have giveb it a go but failed and come back complaining about being out of nitrous even though thats the first ru on a fresh bottle.

after that disappointing run they didnt think you were camera worthy

I normally start in 2nd while drag racing. Thats just too much shifting for me.

Plus we will never hit neutral because of it.
I've had a couple of peeps tell me, "It should pull third." off the start.
One reasoned, because of a passed study on that, is that no matter how fast you are at shifting, it going to cost you 40 feet. Really! Even at speed shifting it dosen't seem that much.

I don't know what a paddle is like for starting, but have you ever tried starting in fifth gear.

it depends how the bike is geared, going across flat sand puts very little load on the motor compared to going up comp hill or olds hill. heres what worked good for me drag racing up sand dunes: '93+ tranny, 14/47, use 1st-4th gears. '89-'92 tranny, 14/51, use 2nd-5th gears
