I'll bring 30gallon VP barrels of c-12 c-14 u4.2 and mr11 into the shop (72f) from -22f and they dont explode or anything stupid, a little creeking and they're up to temp. Same with shipping them back out I have seen the 5gal cans shrink up like that, but ONLY when its a major temp change like that. even if it was 20degrees you'd never see it happen

No body here work at a gas station close to either place that can tell us thier temp/alt factor for fuel? I know here it changes 5-6 litres MAX per 100 from -20c to +20c which is 5-6% aka F-all

This aint your sacks reaction to tempature, its a container we're talking about

Ben Spies now knows all about fuel density and temperature, he ran out of fuel at the Monza world Superbikes round because of a re-start to the race.

His pre-chilled fuel heated up while waiting for the re-start leaving him with less fuel, and not the expected “density” when they topped up the tank, so he ran out of fuel on the last lap.
