another decompressor

Post by yota »

talk on one of the AF threads of a demcompressor got me wondering about using a unit like the one on my Maico, a very simple set up.
It uses the same threads as a spark plug.

thats exactly like the accuproducts part.
before i started dooing these i considered that, but a few things held me up.
why make an area for the compression to pass the rings
why so big
why limit yourself to using the 89+ jug
If it fails wehre do the pieces go

My install needs only the head to be modified
The "port" to the valve is small so NOTHING could ever get thru it
It only requires removing the head
Its in a place thats accessable on most af chassis

I've had customers who used that style tell me that they were reccommended to change jetting

Makes me think its letting too much out or its breating in raw air.
I changed sizes 4 times to make sure it worked best.

not trying to kiss ass, but the one i got from roostius maximus works really well. i'm sure that one could work also. would you have to put it in the cylinder though, or could it go in the head?

i think i'm going to make a lever and bracketry to where i can be a lazy ass and keep my hands on the bars to actuate it. mostly because i'm a lazy SOB though. it's easy to get to.
