the entire motor is a 94. i bought the entire bike and rode it around the local Kart track and my neighborhood before tearing it down. it seemed an assload faster, but i'm guessing that was partially due to the gearing. it's 91MM bore with a fresh hone job and wiseco piston (4 holes drilled on each side on exhaust side and exhaust bridge relieved.), brand new crank case seals, pro circuit header (a few dings in it) and PC spark arrestor silencer. i'm running a new BR8ECMIX iridium short plug. i tried a normal plug and it didn't get any better.Roostius_Maximus wrote:what year is that trans?
on a side note, since this could be cruicial, or have nothing to do with the lack of power. i'm running a 2005 CR250 ignition coil. could this have anything to do with it?
nightbiker, you ain't kidding! haha

it's mainly riding on the needle and pilot? i'm not that great at jetting. i usually let my buddy who works on bikes do it, but neither of us knew where it would need to be fatter when i'm on the street.
i'm gonna pick up a 172 tomorrow morning when i get off of work. i put the factory 170 back in it yesterday and rode it a bit. it honestly didn't seem any different. i'm gonna be leaving for a deal's gap trip tomorrow night/tues morning, so i won't get to see how it does against my friend's XRR till i get back.
