Simple No Mod CRF250R Gen4 Tank

Post by Roostius_Maximus »

Nick bought this when he melted thru his stock tank, It was on ebay for $99.00 USD + free shipping!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA-CR ... ccessories

Fit unbelievably well, 1/4" clearence with shorty plug and bolt clearence at the clutch case.
Its heavier than a stock tank but fits the chassis excellent, the petcock has reserve but only lasts 1/4 mile at wfo
Nick modified the front mount which bolts to the tank, but that was for aligning radiators from an 01 cr250 on this chassis.

comparison to STOCK OEM tank

The seller lists the tank as having a 2.9 gal capacity, though in the comparison pictures it looks like they are pretty much the same size.
Is it really a 2.9? If so, I'm buying one today!
Thanks!

I ordered one today and will be measuring the capacity when it arrives, I'll post up my findings. They've got a 7 day money back return policy so if its not bigger I'll just send it back.
