Headin for Vegas

Post by iggys-amsoil »

for the week, not that I wanted to but what the hey. There's lots more things to do than feeding the one armed bandits.

Stayin at Marroitts Grand Chateau' just off the strip. The place is about six months old and the pool is on the 38th floor. Should still have net access too.

Also checking out what I think might be a cool ridin spot about 20 miles pasted Barstow, 15 and Afton Rd. There's some mining back there and the sat image shows there's water in the Mojave river. There's also a spot that looks paved for 20 or so for Jay class RV's and I think so covers for shade?. So it maybe a good spring break place and its next to the RR tracks for the closet "Foamers".

Hey Iggy,

I have been camping out to Afton a few times but it has been quite a few years ago... you can have some fun blast'in the river bed and then back aways you can find some small but steep edeged sand dunes. Afton and Razor road connect.

Have Fun

Ah free wirelees, Right on Marroitt

Foamers? Are what the train engineers call the poeple who watch them go by, as in wishing they were the ones running the train.

Afton looks rather restrictive with some barb wire fences around the camp area. You can still ride but looks mostly on the main raod, perhaps further down is more open?

I remember going 6-10 miles to the camping spot. Nice area with steep canyon walls, we used to shoot and play with gun powder back in the day...

You know the agreement the hotels have with the government, dont you?

The hotels turn over ALL the records ( your name, your cc number, your internet activities, etc..) and in return the gov. cuts the hotels some slack on hookers, "fixed" slots, rotten food at the buffet, etc..

I'm surprized you like Vegas Igg?

Actually I don't. I had to use the time share sooner or later. "I'm so cheap bastard" went local.

Things have changed here, every Casino is trying to sell a Time share now. The slots don't take quarters only dollars. Gone are the days of $1.99-4.99 steak and eggs. As usual, construction everywhere. Traffic lights are on timers. The best part.......Eye Candy everywhere.
