I gotcha.... to each their own but a carb is one piece that I personally would buy new. I always seem to inherit someone else's problem and end up spending equal to or more than a new piece when it's all said and done.

The "Banned " praice on a new 39mm PWK is like $160

How much do you think your going to save buying a used one?

One of the recent post shows the sudco price on the 41mm for $300+. I don't want the 39mm even at $160.

This is our current pricing for brand new carbs, as of 4-1-09....

39mm PWK $162.75

41mm PWK $223.39

You must talk to John and mention the "Banned 500 Site" to get these prices.

All Sudco askes in return is you go to them when you need other stuff too.....

Got it covered on the sudco banned hook up. The earlier post quoting the $300 price was not correct - glad bob called and clued me in.

Called John, Banned price is $223 for the 41mm
Great service and a nice guy to deal with.

if you can find a cheap 39, a shop typically charges $50 to bore it to 41. or just run it as 39

Apparently I'm not one of the "in" crowd, John erroneously sold me a 38pwk. I specifically mentioned this site, too. I shipped the 38 back, received my 39pwk today, and got one that appears to be custom jetted for a "stock CR500" and cost a whopping $265. Mind you, after I already bought a needle and slow jets from them, too.

I didn't call and complain, but I don't think I'll buy from Sudco anymore if pricing is that inconsistent.

If Sudco quotes you a different price, dont buy it and PM me.

If every swinging dick in the universe that wanted a PWK for $162 just called Sudco and said they were from Banned to get one, Sudco would be out of business.

That's why I didn't call and complain. Not terribly thrilled, but it's not like I'm an incredibly active member here. I just want to go ride the damn thing.

Maybe to save any future issues, why don't members have Bob set the deal up for them. That's how it worked out best for me anyway.
