shorty spark plug?
shorty spark plug?
hey all
just got my 96 steelie back running and about kicked my leg off getting it started. Before I figured out my gas was crap I swapped the plug a few times, and all I can say is that is for the birds. Don't a lot of you AF guys run a shorter plug because you have even less room than I do? I would like one but don't know where to get them, the local parts guys don't seem to know either.
thanks

After mailing to NGK France, Spark Plug with "8" of NGK thermal indice with the same design not exist at NGK.
Perhaps an other manufacturer with the same design and thermal indice.
CF, thermal indice equivalence for other manufacturer:

Why the F don't they sell these in America? Found one on ebay but It seems that I can't find anything warmer than 10.5 even on the carting sites for sale, despite ngk saying they have 7,8, and 9 available according to you guys' link. Too bad they don't make non resistors too. I guess that'd just be too perfect.

I've been running the SplitFire SF25E with no problems. Very easy to change with no tank modifications. The plug in my bike has been in there over 1 year and still running fine. $1.97 on Amazon

no joke. if they were about 20 a piece i'd do it and order 5 plugs and a boot today. i can't see spending 40 each when i'll be riding the bike on the road most of the time, and have room to carry a couple extra plugs if i need to. i'm gonna be running the BR8ECMIX plug hoping i won't have to change it as often as a non-iridium plug.redrider wrote:only 40 bucks a piece?shaggy aus wrote:http://redline-ci.com/Aftermarket/Spark%20Plugs.htm
