how long is gas with 927 good for?

Post by seanmx57 »

Does anyone know how long mixed gas with 927 is good for? I've run synthetic forever and that stuff holds up pretty well over time. I'm considering running the new motor on 927.

If 927 is so good can one be a bit more aggressive w/ the jetting and run the bleeding edge of the lean side?

thanks, sean

I've always kept it in a metal can in the shade. Why waste it.

I think there is a sticky on this subject here somewhere....the mixture starts to break down in a few weeks...I have gone as far as 6 weeks old and been ok. just mix a tank worth at a time.

927 or blendzall castor...

I thought that the suspended oil separates. This is my concern not stabilizing the fuel.

It goes bad almost instantly..... you would be lucky to have it last two days.

Please ship all old gas to me, and I will make sure that it gets disposed of properly.

I've run 6 month old 100octane 927 44:1 mix that sat in my garage through a cold winter... worked just fine  now the sepparation becomes a problem in the float bowl. if you leave it full, a couple weeks later all the gas will have evaporated out the vent tubes and leaves this sticky 927 sludge that will plug your pilot jet. otherwide sitting in a can or in the tank, I just shake it up and run it :D
