About an hour into todays ride my sons CR85 popped the ball off the clutch cable end where it goes into the clutch lever so after we got his bike back to the trucks we spent about 45 minutes trying to unsuccessfully rig it so he could ride. ( I didnt think of trying visegrips until after we had gotten home.) My 12 yr. old son decided to man up and try my 500. He was scared but I told him it was all about throttle control. Here is his first couple of minutes on it in one of the staging areas at one of our ride spots.
and a pic of him on my bike. Quite a big step up from his little CR85.
Very cool, man! I actually let my 15 YO try my 500 for the first time yesterday, too. He didnt like it compared to his 250. Looks like you'll have another 500 rider soon! Or, if you're interested, I'm sellin a 125 for pretty cheep...
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...
