Can anyone explain them to me? On my carb the bottom one was looped over the top and around the other side and down. If it's an overflow, wouldn't this defeat the purpose of it? The side vents on my carb didn't have any hoses at all.
Some of the pictures that I see have the side hoses looped all around the carb and some go straight down. Does it really mater?
On an Airstryker the ones pointing left and right should be routed down through that little hose bracket held on by the bowl screw on the same side. The ones pointing up loop over the carb and go through the hose bracket on the opposite side. I think the ones that loop over are just for vent.

The guy who had it before you obviously had a bad float needle or something, and was tired of hearing.... " Hey dude, your bikes dripping".
Hopefully I will put some gas in it shortly and see if it leaks. I did a search, and it looks like there is at least three versions of a PWK with different vents.
I was assuming you had a an Airstryker quad-vent because of the way you mentioned one was looped up and over. I think on anything else they all should go down and not loop up and over. I think the quad-vent type PWKs are the only carb I've ever seen with vent lines looping up and over the carb.
