Serial # on right crankcase?

Serial # on right crankcase?

Of the dozen or so new cases that I've purchased over the years,I've never had an original serial # sticker on the right case. There has always been one on the left. Whats up with this one....?

Entire motor was proably replaced under warranty or something when they were still being made
