Which controls to use for gen 1 build

Newbie here……just was getting everything lined-up for my conversion. I have a ’99 250 roller with a ’91 motor donor. My question is which controls (clutch& throttle) do I use the ’99 250 or the ’91 500? Or does it even matter? Any help would be appreciated.

I used the 250 controls.

Clarify--I used the 250 controls and 500 cables, but I would guess that the 250 stuff would work.

Thanks, though my bike is torn down right now. I need to put it back together.

I assume, although I have not measured they are the same length? BTW..love your bike seen every picture...its a pleasure!
