Just got a 03 crf450r for $1000 One of my old riding buddies hooked me up it needs some plastic and some spokes but it's a good running bike. I'm stoked to have a running bike again It's been to long. I hated all of the 450 valve bs when I had one before so as soon as I can save some $$$ it will get a conversion I'll post some pics tommorow.
Man, that is a sweet deal.....two ways to go, ride it till it pukes or sell the motor quick before it goes kaboom. i'd probably ride the piss out of it.
Since I haven't rode in a while I'll take it out a few times then put the motor up for sale. I figure people will feel better about buying a used motor if they see it running in the bike first.
right on dude thats a nice bike for good price. take a video of the motor running so when you sell, you can have some proof that its a decent runner. im going to make a vid of my cr250 when i decide to sell the motor

Well took it out for the second time. The 450 problems have started already. We parked at stoddard wells and headed out to slash x for breakfast. The whole way there it was pissing coolant all over my right foot. Filled her up and nursed it back to the truck stopping to fill it up a few times. Looked it over when we got back and it's the waterpump seal. not a biggie but the wp was the tip of the iceberg for my 05 crf 450.
I don't really have the cash or time right now to convert it. Soon enough.
