Obama Signs Presidential Determination Allowing
Palestinians Loyal to Hamas to Resettle In U.S.

Ya you read it right - Towel heads galore coming to the USA

ww.wizbangblog.com ^ | Feb 7,2009 | Kim Priestap

President Barack Obama has signed an executive order a presidential
determination allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to
resettle in the United States. Sure, what can go wrong when we allow
hundreds of thousands of people who have been, as Mark Steyn memorably
described, "marinated" in a "sick death cult," who voted for Hamas, and
55% of whom support suicide bombings to live here and at the American
taxpayers' expense:

By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure
of $20.3 million in migration assistance to get them here, then the resettlement
costs and that's just the start from here the Palestinian refugees and
conflict victims of Gaza will be now put on welfare.
Welcome enemy's of the U.S.A. to the land of free - everything

The "presidential determination" which allows hundreds of thousands of
Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States was
signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4.

President Obama's decision, according to the Register, was necessitated
by "the urgent refugee and migration needs" of the "victims."

Few on Capitol Hill took note that the order provides a free ticket
replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have
displayed their overwhelming support of the Islamic Resist
ance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.

Let's review some of Barack Obama's most recent actions since he was
inaugurated a little more than two weeks ago:

#1 * His first call to any head of state as president was to Mahmoud
Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.

#2 * His first one on one interview with any news organization was with Al
Arabia television.

#3 * He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees
halted.

#4 * He ordered all overseas CIA interrogation centers closed.

#5 * He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole
and 9/11.

#6 * He is getting his chief of staff to get a bill going to have anyone who
wishes to have a gun that they deem appropreate, ( they have a list already)
the person will need to get a license from the Attorney General to have a gun.

If that doesn't get through Plan B. Remove all ammunitions

#7 The democrats have already started a bills in 2 dozen states that
required the changing of all ammunitions to be encoded and a charge $
for every bullet, all ammo not encoded to be destroyed buy 2011

#8 He signed an executive order that all stimulus money will go to only
to companies that are fully unionize - company's that are not union
are prohibited from bidding on jobs that have stimulus money
( that would be 83% of the construction companies )

#9 * Today we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of
Palestinian refuges to move to and live in the US all at American taxpayer expense.

All this in just a little more than two weeks

Anyone else seeing a pattern here? Have I missed anything ? ?
Mike

I checked on Snopes (of which I have my doubts about their check system) regarding the $20+Million to bring them here. It reports claim as false. The money goes to cleaning up the the debri left over from the recent war with Isreal and helping people with necessities. I still have a problem with any taxpayer money going there though. I am releived it is false although it doesn't change the fact that Obama is a Marxist and can potentially destroy our country if we don't vote him and Pilosi and rest of those Marxist America haters out of office. Obama nixes plan to tax motorists on mileage
By JOAN LOWY, Associated Press Writer Joan Lowy, Associated Press

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama will not adopt a policy to tax motorists based on how many miles they drive instead of how much gasoline they buy, his chief spokesman said Friday. Press secretary Robert Gibbs commented after Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood told The Associated Press that he wants to consider the idea, which has been proposed in some states but has angered many drivers.

"It is not and will not be the policy of the Obama administration," Gibbs told reporters, when asked for the president's thoughts about the policy and LaHood's remarks.

Gasoline taxes that for nearly half a century have paid for the federal share of highway and bridge construction can no longer be counted on to raise enough money to keep the nation's transportation system moving, LaHood told the AP in an interview Thursday.

"We should look at the vehicular miles program where people are actually clocked on the number of miles that they traveled," the former Illinois Republican lawmaker said Thursday.

LaHood spokeswoman Lori Irving said Friday that the secretary was speaking of the idea only in general terms, not as something being implemented as administration policy.

Most transportation experts see a vehicle miles traveled tax as a long-term solution, but Congress is being urged to move in that direction now by funding pilot projects.

The idea also is gaining ground in several states. Governors in Idaho and Rhode Island are talking about such programs, and a North Carolina panel suggested in December the state start charging motorists a quarter-cent for every mile as a substitute for the gas tax.

A tentative plan in Massachusetts to use GPS chips in vehicles to charge motorists by the mile has drawn complaints from drivers who say it's an Orwellian intrusion by government into the lives of citizens. Other motorists say it eliminates an incentive to drive more fuel-efficient cars since gas guzzlers will be taxed at the same rate as fuel sippers.

Besides a VMT tax, more tolls for highways and bridges and more government partnerships with business to finance transportation projects are other funding options, LaHood, one of two Republicans in Obama's Cabinet, said in the interview Thursday.

"What I see this administration doing is this — thinking outside the box on how we fund our infrastructure in America," he said.

LaHood said he firmly opposes raising the federal gasoline tax in the current recession.

The program that funds the federal share of highway projects is part of a surface transportation law that expires Sept. 30. Last fall, Congress made an emergency infusion of $8 billion to make up for a shortfall between gas tax revenues and the amount of money promised to states for their projects. The gap between money raised by the gas tax and the cost of maintaining the nation's highway system and expanding it to accommodate population growth is forecast to continue to widen.

Among the reasons for the gap is a switch to more fuel-efficient cars and a decrease in driving that many transportation experts believe is related to the economic downturn. Electric cars and alternative-fuel vehicles that don't use gasoline are expected to start penetrating the market in greater numbers.

A blue-ribbon national transportation commission is expected to release a report next week recommending a VMT.

The system would require all cars and trucks be equipped with global satellite positioning technology, a transponder, a clock and other equipment to record how many miles a vehicle was driven, whether it was driven on highways or secondary roads, and even whether it was driven during peak traffic periods or off-peak hours.

The device would tally how much tax motorists owed depending upon their road use. Motorists would pay the amount owed when it was downloaded, probably at gas stations at first, but an alternative eventually would be needed.

Rob Atkinson, chairman of the National Surface Transportation Infrastructure Financing Commission, the blue-ribbon group that is developing future transportation funding options, said moving to a national VMT would take about a decade.

Privacy concerns are based more on perception than any actual risk, Atkinson said. The satellite information would be beamed one way to the car and driving information would be contained within the device on the car, with the amount of the tax due the only information that's downloaded, he said.

If he would have passed this, I'd shoot the fucker myself....

Shame on these so-called Republicians....

Back in the 50's, when the majority of these roads were first built... there was plenty of $$$$$

1. No welfare scam

2. No crazy union pensions

3. No " Career" politicians

4. No billions going to Illegals for healthcare, schooling, etc..etc...

Were freekin' doomed, if this guy goes more than 4 years....

We are 2/3 of the way to marxism already. Obama will find a way to track you and your car. That's the ultimate goal. How long will it be until we have to report to a "community" organization to get our bar code tattoo on our forearm? Think about it. The funding in the stimulus to "modernize" (computerize) and develope a central healthcare record bank (data base)? Rahm Emmanuel now in charge of the census? Under the guise of healthcare, miles driven tax, and with Rahm Emmanuel in charge of the census Obama and Co. are just testing the waters as they slowly tighten the noose to see which way to go in getting complete control of us.
