Fours Strokes Rule!!!
Guys...took in Anaheim 3 this past weekend with AlisoBob and his lovely wife. During the early part of practice, one of those super-bitchin' four strokes decided it didn't like being flogged across 4' deep whoops and, well, the resulting picture shows the horror. Please look away if you have a weak stomach...

I've never thought less of an indy car (or F1) when their engine shits the bed. Their motors are at the knifes cutting edge of performance and technology. What kills me is that weekend warriors, satelite teams and factory alike can't build a single cylinder 4stroke engine to last 45 minutes on a groomed indoor closed course track!!
Grenaded engines is just status quo at the races these days...fucking pathetic...

I came across a guy this weekend that was working on his 450 at his campsite. He had crashed because 30 seconds after taking his bike for a spin, the guy needed to use his rear brake and found he had no brakes. He was confused as to why because he just got the bike back from the dealer. Aparently he had a new "counterbalancer" installed and the charged him hundreds of bucks to do it. We both agreed there is no reason for the mechanic to open up the brake master, just unbolt it from the frame and leave it be. Anyway I asked him how did he know it needed a new counterbalancer? He said it sounded like marbles in the engine last time he rode it. So I told him how alot of guys take out the 4 stroke and put in a cr500 motor and he was totally blown away by that statement. He had never heard of that before and asked why they do it. I told him because you get a great reliable engine with tons of power and it's easy to maintain and cheap to do top ends. I think he was disgusted to hear that because nobody ever gave him that advice before. He was just a weekend rider type that trusts his dealer to do him right and instead he got fawked. Long live the 2 stroke and the backyard mechanic, to hell with these ticking time bombs that need a rocket scientist to defuse them.
Don't Clyde it, ride it!
