Need Advice-2007 400ex for $900

Mint, no title, she says it's paid for and will gladly sign a notorized bill of sale stating it's not stolen and lien free. Sound too good to be true? I'd be buying it just to flip for a profit.

Sounds funky to me. 4 to 5K worth of machinery for 1600 without titles?

That's what I was thinking, but the fact she offered to sign a bill of sale with a notary gives her some credit. Maybe not.

A notary is not really a legal person though is the thing. I would get the VIN#'s and run them. But it is an inticing offer if a guy was looking for a couple of good quads.

I believe the notary just confirms that the transaction between you two took place. I can't see how the notary can affect whether she has ownership to transfer to you in the first place. Call or walk in the DMV and ask them to run the VINs. Take the ad so if they aren't kosher you won't have to answer a lot of questions...
